Harvest Media has created a simple, 5-step process that brings structure and clarity to our design.

While creative endeavors like branding and design are fluid activities, there is a lot more method than magic involved in getting them done; and following a systematic design process benefits both us and our clients tremendously.

Having a clear design process means that we can:

  • Establish goals and objectives at the beginning
  • Focus on solving the right problems
  • Provide frequent opportunities to give feedback
  • Keep our clients informed and felling confident about the progress we are making

So what does Harvest Media's design process look like? Here’s a quick snapshot:

Step 1: Discover

Learning about your company and vision is at the heart of everything we do. The discovery process begins with a friendly, in-person meeting with our industry-leading marketing team. During this meeting, we sit down with you, discuss your ideas, talk about where you are in your business journey, and explore your goals for the future.

We will ask questions like:

  • Who is your target audience?
  • Describe your ideal client.
  • How do you connect with prospects?
  • What is the main message you wish to convey in your marketing?
  • How do you wish to be perceived?

Next, we closely study your business model, target audience, and competition; examining your current branding, identifying any gaps and researching your specific niche.

The more information we have about where you’re coming from, and where you want to go, the more effective your design results will be.

The ultimate goal of every design or marketing project is measurable results. When we engage with clients we don't just want to make their brand look pretty. We want to deliver outcomes and results that impact their bottom line.

Step 2: Plan

Next, we gather all of your information into a Design Roadmap. This document acts as an important reference point as we move forward. It identifies the specific materials you need, and highlights your vision, style, and goals.

We give you time to review the Design Roadmap, and to ask any questions. We also discuss investment and schedule at this stage.

As you can see, planning, project management, and communication are very important to us. We believe communication is the key to a successful designer-client relationship, and we give it the same level of attention as the creative work itself.

Step 3: Design

Now, the fun really begins. Our team digs into the creative process with numerous brainstorming sessions and sketches—crafting concepts and experimenting with contrasting styles. Our designers pull out all the stops, exploring different colors, tones, textures, images, icons, and patterns to produce a cohesive system that matches your brand and your message.

Once the initial concepts are ready to review, we schedule a meeting, preferably in person, to review them together. Remember, the goal of the design process is to fulfill your vision and help you meet your specific goals—so we’re eager to hear your feedback every step of the way.

Hopefully our team has come close to the mark, but if not, we want to hear your feedback both positive and negative. It's ok to be candid. Our designers have thick skin, and we are all working towards the same goal—your success.

As part of the feedback process, we can review the information gathered in the Discovery phase. That helps keep our design on track with your goals and target audience.

Step 4: Implement

We continue to refine the concepts until you are completely satisfied with the style and direction of your material. It’s extremely important to us that your design collateral perfectly fits your vision.

From there, we turn our nerd meter up a notch and move into layout, development, or coding as your project requires.

Step 5: Deliver

After the visual design is signed off, we take all the steps necessary to produce and deliver a final product that meets our high standards.

Your project deliverables might include printed brochures, digital logo files, a brand book, or a website. In every case we pay attention to the little details to ensure a stellar first impression.

Follow Up

Our project manager follows up on every job to see what kind of response you are getting from your newly designed material.

We work hard to stay responsive so that our team can be there to answer questions, provide guidance, and assist you in any way possible.

At Harvest Media, we are committed to a customer-centered, fully-transparent design process. From the moment you call us or step into our office, to the excitement of having your design materials in-hand, we want your experience to be outstanding, every time.

When you work with our creative agency we do our best to make every step of the design process easy, fun, and rewarding. If you think your branding and marketing efforts might benefit from a more strategic design process contact the Harvest Media team to learn more.
