We were honored to work with The Village of Schaumburg's Economic Development department to design and build a website for the 90 North District.
The coming 90 North District is slated to be something truly special. Over the next few years, the former Motorola campus will be transformed into a vibrant, modern, mixed-use community—an urban center in the suburbs.
The east and west sides will feature a global business core (already home to Zurich and Sunstar), upscale housing, entertainment venues, restaurants, and hotels—all connected by walkable trails and parks.
Several major companies have already announced their plans to locate at 90 North and take advantage of this strategic opportunity.
We worked closely with the Economic Development Department Staff to gather as much information as we could about the development itself and the target audience. We also worked with other village departments to gather and leverage their existing design assets.
We build wireframes to serve as blueprints for the user experience and to give our copy writers a clear roadmap.
We took care to use the Village's color palette and fonts in order to match the 90 North site to their print marketing material. We also used the swoops and curves of the village logo to break up the layout, add depth, and match design elements used in local signage.
The content features easy access to the facts that developers and investors want to know most and clear calls to action.
We set up an easy-to-use content management system that allows site admins to quickly add news stories as new businesses announce their interest in the 90 North District.
We also optimized the site's performance, implementing best practices to ensure a fast page load.
The 90 North site delivers a fast, impressive view to one of the most exciting development opportunities in Schaumburg. Our clients were very happy with the final result.
