Recently, we had the opportunity to develop a logo for a new college and young adult ministry at Cornerstone Baptist.
The ministry is called 4HG. It stands for “For His Glory.”
The ministry leaders wanted something clean and crisp that would appeal to a younger audience.
When starting a logo project, I typically sketch some concepts on paper first. Then I clean up the strongest of the sketches into a few separate concepts.
Here is the first set of concepts we reviewed with Cornerstone:
And here’s the final version with the client’s color selection.
The arrangement of letters and vertical bars forms a cross in the negative space in the center of the mark—Subtly reinforcing the centrality of Christ.
